Owner Mike Magluilo uses a Building Block Program of learning reinforcement to assist students of all ages. The Tutor Doctor makes house calls, working with clients on a one-to-one basis.
Magluilo started his business after he and his wife, Noelle, founded the nonprofit Classrooms For Cambodia in 2009. The couple surpassed their fund-raising goal, collecting over $30,000 to build a junior high school in rural Cambodia.
Buoyed by the joy at spreading education to those who had been previously deprived, Maglluilo decided to open Tutor Doctor as a way of continuing the work here at home.
