In the February issue of the Washington Park Profile, the article titled “Are co-located schools squeezing each other out?,” parents quoted in the article stated they felt the student populations of the two schools in the Merrill Middle School building, 1551 S. Monroe St., were “bursting at the seams.”

Denver Public Schools records show the school building has a capacity of about 1,000 students. The two schools, Merrill and Creativity Challenge Community (C3), have 883 students total, which means the building is below capacity.
