DU brings in new shuttle service

After losing one shuttle service for students at the University of Denver, a new one has come in to take its place.

The new service, Jay’s Valet, started on March 1. Previously, the service was run by Chariot, a Ford-owned micro-transit company that shut down. Chariot services ended on Feb. 28.

Jay’s Valet will follow the same routes and make the same stops as the Chariot service, according to the DU website. It will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and shuttles will arrive at stops every 20 minutes. Unlike the Chariot services, there is not an app for boarding or shuttle status with Jay’s Valet. Students must show the driver a valid DU Pioneer ID in order to use the shuttle, the website said.
