Fire pits and chimineas are popular, but there are limits to what you can burn in them. It is
against Denver code to use them to burn wood. Only natural gas, propane or charcoal briquettes can be used. The same applies to barbecues. For those of you that remember backyard incinerators, you won’t be surprised, since incinerators were abandoned because of their contribution to our brown cloud. For the same reason, the use of wood in fire pits and chimineas is illegal in Denver.
