For the love of monsters: Immersive artainment experience offered at Denver Pavilions

The world-renowned monster-makers at Greeley’s own Distortions Unlimited and the award-winning production team at Loveland-based Blazen Illuminations have teamed up to offer Denver an out-of-this world adventure filled with spooky and supernatural creatures.

Distortions Monster World, an immersive artainment experience, offers guests an opportunity to explore life-sized creatures – many recognizable from television and film – and interactive, technology-forward installations in a 19,000-square-foot space in the Denver Pavilions on the 16th Street Mall.

The monsters featured in the various scenes of the exhibit are the creations of Distortions Unlimited owners Ed Edmunds and Marsha Taub-Edmunds, their team and the many artists and sculptors they work with. The monsters in each scene are accompanied by special effects, props, theatrical lighting and sound design by Blazen Illuminations.

“Distortions Monster World is a celebration of a lifetime of making monsters and a way to share our love for all things monster,” Edmunds said in a news release. “I have never seen monsters as ugly, and certainly haven’t associated them with just one time of the year. My hope is that visitors will walk away appreciating the art and beauty behind these creatures, and realize there is more to monsters than meets the eye.”
