The Denver Dumb Friends League will return to Washington Park once again for the 26th annual Furry Scurry.
Teams or individuals can register for the two-mile walk, the proceeds of which go to the Denver Dumb Friends League, a nonprofit animal shelter that serves thousands of homeless animals across the state. Registration is $50 per person or $25 for children 12 and under.
The Furry Scurry is on May 4. Day-of registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The fun run starts at 9 a.m., followed by the Furry Scurry walk at 9:15. The rest of the day is filled with demonstrations and competitions.
“Money raised helps us provide medical care to sick and injured animals, behavior training that allows pets to be adopted more quickly, investigations of animal neglect and mistreatment and supports our overall mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering,” said Dr. Apryl Steele, president and CEO of Denver Dumb Friends League, in a news release.
