According to a department statement, James William Bain was charged with five felony counts of sexual assault on a child and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

The Littleton Police Department Wednesday arrested a 72-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting multiple children.
Bain worked as a soccer coach with Colorado United/Littleton Soccer Club for over 30 years and served as chair president. He stepped down from coaching in June.
Colorado United/Littleton Soccer said in a statement it "takes all allegations of assault seriously and is fully cooperating with the Littleton Police Department during the investigation" but would not address the allegations further "during the investigative process."
