A couple attends a virtual religious gathering on March 27. The couple pictured joined other local Jehovah's Witnesses from 40 congregations across the metro area to attend the virtual event, which takes place annually in observance of the memorial of Christ's death. Both the 2020 and 2021 observances were live-streamed to a worldwide audience. Numbers on the 2021 attendance were not available by press time, but it is estimated that about 17.5 million people attended, which was the turnout for last year’s virtual event. About 6,585 of last year’s attendees were Denver residents. To learn more about Jehovah’s Witnesses or find a local congregation, visit www.jw.org.
