Posted

Just before midnight on September 16, 2021, deputies responded to the 17100 block of Mount Vernon Rd on the call of a disturbance. When deputies arrived they observed flames on one of the residences and contacted an adult female outside. The female was transported to a hospital with serious injuries "unrelated to the fire" according to the sheriff's department press release.

Pleasant View Fire Department, Golden Fire Department, Fairmount Fire, as well as West Metro Fire Department all responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.

Responders verified there was one deceased individual inside the residence. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
