Suspect in Brighton police chase faces charges

A 27-year-old man faces two counts of first-degree murder for his part in an October crash in Brighton that killed two people.

The 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office filed the counts against Nicholas Villarini for his alleged part in an Oct. 26 incident that invovled a short police pursuit. Two pedestrians died.

Villarini also faces a first-degree assault charge, as well as three counts of vehicular eluding and driving while his license was under restraint.

His first court appearance is at 9 a.m. Jan. 28.
